PASTE FILENAMES
OVERVIEW
The purpose of this program is to save typing effort and errors associated with entering full path file names into any application. The basic idea is that you use this program’s browser to browse one or more files. Each time you make a selection, the program will append the file to clipboard, and you can recover the clipboard contents by pasting into your application (ctrl-v).
You can select a single file by clicking on the file. Multiple files by holding the Ctrl key while clicking on the file, and a range of files by holding down the left shift button while clicking on the first and last file in the range. When you have selected multiple files, they will be highlighted. The ‘Cancel’ button will save the full path filenames to clipboard. The open button does nothing at this time. You may continue browsing different folders, using the Cancel to grab the selected files, then use the big X in the top right to close out when you are done. Selected files are immediately available to other applications via Paste (Ctrl-V) immediately after clicking ‘Cancel’. You do not need to terminate the program to update clipboard, although termination and re-initiation will reset the clipboard buffer.
The program was written using Visual Studio 2008 and
requires that you have Windows .Net Framework 2.0 installed. The .Net framework provides a replacement for
the older windows API interface and provides a feature rich, secure environment
for program development. Get your free
